Our Volunteer Resources functions much like a Human Resources department in its recruitment process. Potential volunteers are asked to register and attend a volunteer interview with the Volunteer Coordinator.

You can view/print off our Volunteer Application Form or call the office to have an application mailed to you.

We welcome volunteers of all ages! Certain positions may require an age limit. Police records check may also be required based on volunteer position.

Are you a family or Group looking to volunteer? Interfaith has many opportunities throughout the year that could use your help.

Volunteers' Testimonials

"Having been touched by the pain, challenges and loss of those individuals who have struggled or continue to struggle with emotional wellness, I became ever so consumed with my inner desire to find ways to support and lesson others pain and burden. I may not possess the direct knowledge, skills and abilities of the dedicated individuals working in the field of counselling, but I do have myself and time to offer to an organisation that does. ..... And then came my introduction to Interfaith Community Counselling Centre. I found myself aligned and embraced their Mission Statement - ICCC strengthens the fabric of our community by equipping individuals, couples, and families to realize emotional wellness and triumph over life’s challenges.- and they in turn, embraced me. I haven’t stopped growing since and sincerely appreciate being a part of an organization that fosters compassion, leaving a positive impact on all stakeholders involved in the process."

"I volunteer because it gives me the opportunity to get involved in the various community activities and connect with people who share similar interest and values. I appreciate what Interfaith does for the members of our community and feel good knowing I can give back in some way."

"New Hamburg and the surrounding area has always been home for our entire family. I have always been actively involved in Church, Minor Sport and Community work. Interfaith aligns very well with my personal values and I acknowledge and appreciate the positive difference Interfaith is making by equipping individuals, couples, and families to realize emotional wellness and triumph over life's challenges, in the community I call home."

"I feel that volunteering is something that you are passionate about and will help you to connect with your community and make it a better place to live in."

"I volunteer because I believe that one person can make a difference in one person's life, and many person together can make a difference in many people's lives."
